Mail QR codes · destination first

Direct Mail QR Inspector

Mail QRs are convenient and opaque. Inspect the URL and parameters before you follow them. If the camera is blocked, photograph the letter — that is usually the better path anyway.

Camera works best in Safari or Chrome — not always inside the Google or social in-app browser.

“Permission denied” on QR scan?

That message means the phone blocked the camera — often because permission was denied, or you are inside an in-app browser (Google app, etc.) that limits camera access. It is not a failed barcode read.

  • Allow Camera for the browser in phone Settings, or
  • Open lendmail.fit in Safari / Chrome, or
  • Photograph the letter — codes and fine print without live QR access

What a mail QR often contains

Example shape only — real kits vary. Offer-style parameters matter; campaign tags are normal attribution.

Typical embedded link

LendMail’s job is to surface the destination and the meaningful parameters, and to relate them to the brand on the kit — not to promise that every tracker can be stripped while still loading the same session on every lender site.

Domain check

Does the host match what is printed on the letter? Lookalikes are the real risk; mail tracking params are ordinary.

Parameter read

See offer-code style values vs campaign/attribution tags so you know what you are about to open.

Letter fallback

Camera blocked? Photograph the mailer. Same goal: code, URL, and terms without relying on the live QR scanner.

FAQ

How does QR inspect work?

Mobile tools decode the QR to a URL, show host and parameters, and attach a short lender/response-path read. Full terms still live on the letter — photograph pages when you want that breakdown.

Camera error / permission denied?

Allow camera for the browser, switch to Safari or Chrome, or use photograph the letter. In-app browsers often block the scanner.

Are tracking parameters bad?

They are normal for mail attribution. Focus on domain match and whether an offer or confirmation code is in the link or on the page.
